Reports of suspicion of highly pathogenic bird flu and AI have been received at a laying hen farm in Yeoju, Gyeonggi-do.
About 190,000 laying hens were raised in the barn for which the report was received.
The house is located about 10 km away from the Bok River in Icheon, Gyeonggi, where highly pathogenic AI was recently confirmed in wild birds.
The Central Accident Control Headquarters controls access to the farm and conducts epidemiological investigations as two chickens that died in a simple test tested positive for AI.
