Reports of suspicion of highly pathogenic bird flu and AI have been received at a laying hen farm in Yeoju, Gyeonggi Province.
About 190,000 laying hens are reared at the barn that has been reported, and about 1,000 died yesterday following 50 yesterday (5th).
The house is about 10 km away from Bok River, Icheon, Gyeonggi, where highly pathogenic AI was recently confirmed in wild birds.
The Central Accident Control Headquarters controls access to the farm and conducts epidemiological investigations as two chickens that died in a simple test tested positive for AI.
