A highly pathogenic avian influenza AI occurred in 3 years at a duck farm in Yeongam-gun, Jeollanam-do.
Jeollanam-do revealed that it was confirmed as H5NA-type highly pathogenic AI as a result of a close examination of samples collected from Yeongam duck farms that had been reported suspicious.
This year, highly pathogenic AI came out at the chicken duck farm three times, following the duck farm in Jeongeup, Jeonbuk last month, and the laying hen farm in Sangju, Gyeongbuk earlier this month.
The quarantine authorities plan to kill 9,800 ducks on the farm and preventively kill 493,000 on the farm within a 3 km radius.
