Harmful ingredients such as mosquito repellents and surfactants were detected in an unidentified liquid that a kindergarten teacher in Seoul put in children's meals.



The Seoul Geumcheon Police Department said that a mosquito repellent and surfactant components were detected as a result of requesting a kindergarten teacher A to analyze the liquid components in the children's feeding bins.



On the 11th of last month, Mr. A was accused of putting an unknown liquid in the feeding bins of children in the kindergarten corridor.



Mr. A is known to have claimed that "the liquid was empty water" in a police investigation.



The police are accusing Mr. A of child abuse and are further investigating whether a liquid containing harmful ingredients has been put into the meal.
