Daejeon District Court issued an arrest warrant against the director of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and one of the scribes who were accused of damage to public electronic records.
The reason for issuing the warrant is that the crime is denied and there is a fear of destruction of evidence.
In November and December of last year, three officials from the Ministry of Industry, including the two arrested, were charged with directing or direct deletion of related data immediately before the audit of the Audit and Inspection Office for the suspicion of manipulating the economic feasibility evaluation of the Wolseong nuclear power plant Unit 1.
At that time, Director Moon ordered the data to be deleted, and the secretary went into the office of the government building on a holiday night and was known to have deleted 444 data.
Together, the court dismissed the warrant on the grounds that it generally admitted the crime against the manager-level official for whom the warrant was requested.
As the first arrest warrant is issued in relation to the nuclear power plant incident, the prosecution's investigation into the upper line is expected to gain momentum.
The prosecutors who were criticized for being a political prosecutor for this investigation aimed at the government have secured the cause for the investigation.
It is known that the prosecution will sooner or later summon and investigate former Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Paik Woon-gyu and Korea Gas Corporation President Chae Hee-bong, then the Blue House industrial policy secretary.
