The Assassin's Creed Valhalla Orlog game available as a board game -

On November 10, Ubisoft released the new episode of its Assassin's Creed franchise titled Valhalla.

This new video game takes us back to the 9th century, in the heart of the Viking raids in England.

In addition to turf wars and other assassinations, Valhalla offers many quests and side activities, including dice games.

According to the Dicebreaker site, which specializes in board games, Ubisoft is preparing to market the Orlog game from the universe of

Assassin's Creed Valhalla

.

“Ubisoft will work with collectable pop culture creator PureArts to release a version of the Orlog in 2021. Ubisoft has not offered more details at this time,” the site read.

A Viking hobby?

Orlog is a dice and bean game that combines luck and strategy, in addition to being based on fairly complex rules.

Despite its old-fashioned appearance and although there is evidence that Vikings loved dice games, the Orlog was specifically developed for the purposes of

Assassin's Creed Valhalla

, so it has no historical value.

"The goal was to have a game that seems 'believable' rather than historically realistic, because we couldn't find any clear rules during our research," said Benoit Richer, co-director of the game at Dicebreaker.

The collaboration between Ubisoft and PureArts will therefore make it possible to give life to a new board game, expected in the course of 2021. In the meantime, players can still learn the rules of the game and train for Orlog within Valhalla.
