Google's web browser offers many features ranging from managing payment methods to opening an incognito window to translating pages.

With the new Chrome update, version 87, users will no longer need to navigate to various browser menus to take advantage of these features, as Techdows spotted.

All they have to do is type their order in the address bar.

When the Chrome Actions feature is deployed to all users, they can type "delete history" or "manage passwords" in the address bar so that the browser responds to their request and opens the file. appropriate tab or directly performs the requested task.

For now, the feature is only compatible with 6 commands, but the list could grow.

Here is the list of commands currently taken into account:

  • Clear browsing data

  • Manage payment methods

  • Open an incognito window

  • Manage passwords

  • Chrome update

  • Translate a page

What's new in Chrome 87?

Chrome version 87 which introduces Chrome Actions is being rolled out to users.

In addition to this new feature, which should take some time before entering the uses of users, the update of Chrome improves the performance of the web browser with a faster launch and load pages.

Chrome 87 also has better management of RAM, a pet peeve of Google's web browser.

Finally, the update also brings a patch that addresses 33 security vulnerabilities within the browser.

If you already have version 87 of Chrome, the feature may not be available yet.

You will therefore have to be patient to take advantage of Chrome Actions.

The latter should arrive in the coming days or even weeks to come.
