Former YG Entertainment CEO Yang Hyun-seok, who is accused of spending hundreds of millions of won in Las Vegas, USA, has been fined.

On the 27th, Judge Park Soo-hyun, exclusively criminal 9 of the Seoul Western District Law, sentenced a fine of 15 million won to former CEO Yang, who was accused of gambling.

A fine of 15 million won was fined for Mr. Mo (37) Lee and Mo (41) Lee of YGX Co-CEO, YGX's subsidiary who was handed over to trial, and a fine of 10 million won was imposed on Mr. Geum (48).

CEO Yang and others were handed over to trial on charges of gambling, such as baccarat and blackjack, worth 400 million won worth of stakes over 20 times at casinos in Las Vegas, USA from 2015 to 2019.

The court admitted the prosecution as guilty, saying to them, "I gambled on the casino for a long period of time and the number of crimes was not small and the amount of gambling was over 400 million won.

He said, "It can have a negative impact on the general public and youth," he said. "The sentence was decided in consideration of the fact that the defendants are reflecting on them and have no history of being punished for crimes of the same kind."

Initially, the prosecution briefly prosecuted the two former representatives for simple gambling because they were unable to admit habitual gambling, but the court judged that the case was inappropriate to judge only by a written hearing and referred to a formal trial.

The former representatives both admitted the charges and appealed for preemption, saying the crime was not heavy.

The prosecution asked the court to fine 10 million won on former representatives at the previous decision.
