Justice Minister Choo Mi-ae announced that a disciplinary committee will be held on the 2nd of next month to deliberate whether or not to punish President Yoon Seok-yeol.

At the same time, President Yun or his lawyer notified him to attend.

It has been 8 days since a disciplinary action was filed against President Yun and the exclusion was taken.

The disciplinary committee, consisting of seven members in total, is composed of Minister Chu, the Vice Minister of Justice, and two prosecutors appointed or commissioned by Minister Chu, lawyers and professors of law.

Since the composition of the committee actually reflects the intention of Minister Chu, there are observations that both inside and outside the legal profession will vote for dismissal and that Minister Chu will propose this to the President.

The level of pressure on President Yoon was also raised over allegations of so-called illegal inspections by the court.

The Ministry of Justice said it had requested an investigation by the Supreme Prosecutors' Office on charges of interfering with the exercise of rights abused by authority, saying that all the contents of the inspection documents were illegal results.

Amidst this, there is a controversy over the schedule of the Ministry of Justice's inspection committee, which includes outsiders.

This is because the Ministry of Justice decided to open an inspection committee after the disciplinary committee was held to receive advice on inspection.

Prior to the disciplinary committee, the Ministry of Justice was criticized for changing the mandatory regulations, which are consulted through an external inspection committee, as optional regulations on the 3rd, and changed the regulations with the supervision of President Yun in mind.

The controversy is expected to continue as it is known that outside personnel belonging to the Supervisory Commission have suggested the need to hold a temporary supervisory committee before the disciplinary committee.
