Police in their twenties who grew and smoked hemp in their homes were caught.

Today (23rd), the North Gyeonggi Provincial Police Agency's drug investigation team announced that they had arrested 24-year-old A and 28-year-old B, who were a couple, on charges of violating the law on drug management.

They are accused of cultivating and drying hemp in their homes in Seoul from last year until their recent arrest.

It was also confirmed that three acquaintances, including colleagues, were brought into the house and smoked hemp together.

In addition, it turned out that they had installed CCTV outside their homes to check the movements around them to prepare for the police crackdown.

The two people, who worked as clothing models, stated in a police investigation that "I encountered hemp while traveling abroad, and learned how to grow it through the Internet."

Police confiscated 170g of hemp they were keeping at home, and three accomplices who smoked hemp were also arrested.

A police official said, "We plan to focus all our capabilities to eradicate drug-related crimes that threaten the health and safety of the people."
