Are you planning to buy the iPhone 12 mini?

Expect to experience issues with the sensitivity of the touchscreen when it is locked.

The problem would affect a significant number of terminals.

Apple's new model has been marketed in France since Friday.

Many users have already complained on the community platform Reddit, the official Apple forums or on the specialized site MacRumors, reports

The unrecognized thumb?

According to them, the touchscreen of the phone would lack responsiveness.

It would be difficult to access the camera or the flashlight function from the shortcuts available on the lock screen.

A simple unlocking of the screen with a movement of the thumb upwards would even sometimes be impossible.

The manipulations carried out with this finger would pose a particular problem.

Yet Apple's new, small-sized smartphone was designed to be operated with just one finger.

Remove the MagSafe cover

However, the failure to use would disappear when the phone is plugged into the mains.

Removing the MagSafe compatible protective cover, an accessory that allows induction charging of the iPhone 12 mini, would also solve the problem.

Hopefully its big brothers, the iPhone 12, 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max won't suffer from this poor start.

Apple engineers must already be figuring out how to fix this possible bug.
