At around 4:30 in the morning, a Sonata car runs along the 1st lane of a road in Seo-gu, Incheon.

After a while, the car gradually violated the center line, hit the delivery motorcycle that was running on the opposite lane, and ran backwards.

[Accident Site Witness: (Seeing the black box) The car gradually turned to the side if I was drowsy driving in the first lane.] This is the

accident site.

As you can see behind me, the accident occurred on the first lane next to the center line, but there are still motorcycle debris from the impact of the accident at the scene.

The driver of the car is intoxicated with the level of license cancellation of 0.171% of the blood alcohol concentration.

In this accident, a delivery motorcyclist in her 20s was taken to a hospital with severe injuries, including amputation of her left leg.

After hitting the motorcycle, the car ran about 150 meters further and stopped after the front wheel was damaged.

After the accident, the driver of a car was arrested by a police officer who was dispatched by a passerby while sitting at a nearby bus stop without reporting to the police or checking the condition of the motorcyclist.

The driver of the car is known to have stated in the police investigation that "I do not remember the time of the accident" and that "there was no intention to escape."

The police are reviewing applications for arrest warrants against drivers of passenger cars by applying the so-called Yoon Chang-ho Act, which strengthened punishment for perpetrators of alcohol accidents, and hit-and-run charges.
