MagSafe: Apple confirms the appearance of traces on iPhone cases -

Geeko

Just days after the first iPhone 12 models were released, several new owners complained that the MagSafe wireless charger was leaving marks on their iPhone cases.

A problem confirmed by Apple which has just updated the product sheet for the leather shell intended for the iPhone 12.

In the description, we can read: "slight fingerprints will appear on contact with MagSafe accessories (as shown in the last image in the gallery).

If you have any concerns about this, we advise you to use a silicone case or a transparent case for iPhone 12/12 Pro ”.

Here is an overview of the mark that the MagSafe charger can leave on the leather shell:

Informed

In fact, Apple had already confirmed the problem since the American company indicated in the description of the MagSafe charger that "the [leather] case can display circular fingerprints of the contact", but so far Apple did not. still mention in the description of the leather case.

You are therefore doubly warned.

The "good news" is that only leather cases seem to be affected by the trace issue, so silicone cases might be a better solution.
