A woman was found with her throat cut on Saturday in Jussy, in Aisne, near a burnt down apartment in which the charred body of a man was discovered.

To be sure, you have to know what to do with it.

The trail of double murder followed by suicide therefore seems the most convincing for the time being.

The first two victims were in a relationship

This 47-year-old woman, presenting a "stab wound to the throat", was discovered around 4 am in the immediate vicinity of an apartment where a fire was in progress, the public prosecutor told AFP. République in Saint-Quentin, Cédric Logelin.

She died immediately after help arrived.

"Inside the apartment completely destroyed by the fire and showing a trace of break-in was discovered the charred body of an adult man", added Cédric Logelin, considering "very likely" that this woman and this man "were in a relationship".

The suspect found hanged

Around 8:30 am, in Mayot, about ten kilometers from Jussy, a 50-year-old man was discovered hanged in a farmhouse.

"An inscription was on a wall inside, suggesting that the latter could be at the origin of the facts", according to the magistrate, who specifies that this man "had never been the subject of a conviction for violence or intra-family threat ".

At this stage of the investigation, "the opening of a judicial investigation of the counts of murder, murder by spouse and destruction by dangerous means is envisaged".

The Saint-Quentin research brigade is seized of the investigation, assisted by the Amiens research section.
