Google Messages allows you to schedule SMS sending -

Geeko

Finally !

The Google Messages messaging app allows you to schedule messages in advance.

Spotted by user @ besaireddy, the functionality is already deployed to some users.

On the few images shared by the user, we can see that a new option has appeared when we hold down the “Send” button.

The user can schedule the sending of messages.

The schedule option displays four choices: "Later today 6:00 p.m.", "Later tonight 9:00 p.m.", "Tomorrow 8:00 a.m.", or "Pick a date and time".

For the latter choice, as its name suggests, it allows you to customize the date and time.

A very close deployment

Once the SMS is programmed, it appears in the conversation with a clock icon on the side and the text "Message programmed".

In the event of improper handling, Google Messages offers the possibility of deleting his message, modifying its content, changing the planned date or sending it immediately.

To do this, just click on the message.

Currently being tested, the functionality is only deployed to a minority of users.

As XDA reports, the code for the feature is already present in the latest APK of Google Messages.

Google therefore plans to roll out the feature on a larger scale within a few weeks.
