Gyeongnam Governor Kim Gyeong-soo, who was accused of illegally manipulating public opinion using comments, was sentenced to imprisonment at the appeal trial following the first trial.



On the 6th, the second criminal division of the Seoul High Court (Sang-Hoon Ham, Min-gi Kim, Deputy Judge Ha Tae-han) sentenced Governor Kim to two years of imprisonment, similar to the first trial, for manipulating comments (interrupting work with computers, etc.).



However, at the first trial, the charges of violating the Public Officials Election Act, which was sentenced to probation from prison sentences, were acquitted at the appeal trial.



Governor Kim, who was released on bail and on trial, was sentenced to imprisonment that day, but was not arrested in court.



The judge explained that "some innocents were convicted in the appeal trial and innocent under the Public Officials Election Act, but they agreed that it was not to cancel the accused's bail."



Governor Kim has been charged with manipulating public opinion with the comment manipulation program'King Crab' from around November 2016 in collusion with the so-called'Dreking' Kim Dong-won.



In addition, after the 2017 presidential election, he decided to continue manipulating comments until Druking and local elections, and at the end of the same year, he was charged with proposing the position of Doo-hyung Doo-hyung as the general consul of Sendai.



Earlier, the first trial admitted that all charges of Governor Kim were guilty, sentenced him to two years in prison for manipulating comments, and arrested the court.



He was sentenced to 10 months in prison and 2 years probation for violating the Public Official Election Act.
