Democratic Party lawmaker Jeong Jeong-soon, who is accused of committing fiscal irregularities in the April 15 general election, is being interrogated before arrest at the Cheongju District Court from 3 pm today (2nd).
Rep. Jeong-soon Jeong is expected to be arrested tonight.
When the court issues an arrest warrant, Chung becomes the first member of the National Assembly to be arrested in relation to election laws and misconduct in the 21st National Assembly.
Rep. Chung appeared at the prosecution on the 31st of last month when the motion for arrest was passed in the National Assembly and a warrant for arrest was issued in the court.
Earlier, the prosecutors' prosecutors questioned Jung on the basis of the testimony and evidence of the implicated person, but after Jung denied the allegations, he filed an arrest warrant late last night.
