Former President Lee Myung-bak, who has been sentenced to 17 years in prison in the Supreme Court for embezzlement and bribery, is being jailed again today (2nd).

Former President Lee left his home in Nonhyeon-dong, where he had been before his election, and was transferred to the Eastern Detention Center in Seoul, where he spent a year in prison before bail.

There is a reporter in Nonhyeon-dong.

Former President Lee Myung-bak has not yet appeared outside his home.

There are about 40-50 people around here, including citizens, reporters, and police, and some citizens who criticized the former president shouted for slogans, but there aren't many supporters or people trying to rally, so the possibility of physical conflict seems low.

It is not known exactly when Lee will appear, but there are prospects that he will leave his home in the near future.

Afterwards, it will be transferred to the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office, and will be transferred to the Seoul Eastern Detention Center in Songpa-gu, Seoul by a prosecution vehicle.

It's been one year and ten months after former President Lee was released on bail in March of last year. Since he was imprisoned in the eastern detention center in Seoul for one year from March the previous year, he has to fill 16 of the 17-year sentence.

Former President Lee is planning to live alone in a 13-square-meter (13-square-meter) cell in the Eastern Detention Center in Seoul.

In principle, after being transferred to a prison and living in prison, there is a possibility of continuing to stay in the eastern detention center in Seoul without a transfer due to the fact that you are a former president or an elderly person.
