Apple has admitted that some of its AirPods Pro wireless headphones may experience sound issues.

Many products could be affected because the defective headphones were manufactured before October 2020.

Two problems identified

Two major problems have been identified by the brand.

In a first case, the AirPods can be victims of "crackling or static noises whose intensity increases in a noisy environment, during a training or during a phone call", describes the support of Apple in a press release. .

The second problem relates to "incorrect operation of noise reduction technology".

The user may notice in some cases "a decrease in bass sound or an increase in background sounds (for example, those produced by traffic or an airplane)".

The malfunctions may affect the right or left earphone or both.

If your headphones are affected, Apple pays device replacement at an Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Center free of charge.

In all cases, you must follow a procedure on the Apple support site.

Note that the AirPods Pro charging case does not seem to be affected by technical issues.
