Public officials who receive false claims for overtime pay or travel expenses will be subject to severe disciplinary action.

Today (2nd), the Ministry of Human Resources Development announced that it will announce the legislation from the 3rd of the amendment to the'Enforcement Rule of the Disciplinary Decree for Public Officials'.

The revised bill contained the content that public officials who unfairly receive overtime pay, etc., will be disciplined in consideration of the amount of unfair receipts and the severity of misconduct.

Disciplinary standards for local public officials, educational officials, police officials, and fire-fighting officials are said to be promoted with the same content.

According to the amendment, public officials who deliberately commit the above misconduct are subject to disciplinary action ranging from suspension to demotion, dismissal, and dismissal.

If the amount of unfair receipt exceeds 1 million won, the relegation begins, and if the amount is less than 1 million won, you will be disciplined from suspension.

The Human Resources Office will also provide standard cases of overtime pay and unfair business travel expenses.

Through this, it is possible to judge it as a serious mischief to report a business trip and submit a receipt used near home, not the place of business, to receive travel expenses.

In addition, if overtime pay is received unfairly, the amount is doubled as an'additional collection fee', but the National Civil Service Act is amended to increase it to five times.

Hwang Seo-jong, head of the HR Innovation Department, said, "The wrong recognition and inappropriate behavior of some public officials is causing distrust in the entire public officials society."
