This is called a beautiful communication operation.

US giant Burger King ran a special ad occupying a full page of

the Sunday Newspaper

.

Entitled "Order at McDo", the ad which was also posted this Sunday on social networks, is surprising.

Rather than promoting its products, or its offers specially designed for containment, Burger King calls on Internet users to order from its competitors.

“We never thought we would ask you that one day.

Just as we would never have thought to encourage you to order at KFC, Quick, O'Tacos, Domino's Pizza, Subway, Eat Sushi, Pizza Del Arte ”, lists this advertisement.

“Today, restaurants that employ thousands of people also need your support.

So if you want to help them, continue to feast at home with delivery, take-out and also at the drive.

With a Whopper, it's better, but if it's a Big Mac, it's not bad ”.

For once, we're not laughing.

The fast food market also struggling

"For once, we are not laughing".

As Burger King recalls in his post, the subject is very serious.

Despite the re-containment, restaurants can continue to serve meals to their customers, but only take out or home delivery.

This ad aims to encourage consumers to support a fast food market that has been struggling for several months, and particularly worried.

This announcement caused a lot of reaction on social networks, triggering many comments from Internet users.

Some hailing a nice publicity stunt from the American giant, others highlighting "the cynicism" and "hypocrisy" of this call for solidarity from a sign symbolizing junk food and the consumer society.

I am really moved 😢

Being able to admire such a beautiful speech it touches me, being able to witness so much cynicism, manipulation, hypocrisy and opportunism, I am really proud of you Burger King, it is ... It's beautiful 😭 you knocked it off 👑 pic.twitter.com/jNEZzpAFSr

During the first confinement in April, the burger specialist had already shown ingenuity in his communication, in particular by publishing on social networks the recipe for a Whopper to make at home or by posting the photo of a banner taken in front of one of its restaurants recalling the price of a fine for non-compliance with containment.

The story does not say if we took a fine going to take this photo.

#Stay home.
