Have the French finally adopted the government tracking application to fight Covid-19?

Launched on October 22, “TousAntiCovid” already has more than 6 million downloads.

The new version of the app does better in seven days than StopCovid in four months of existence.

The record counter available on the application previously stagnated at 2.7 million.

Since the deployment of “TousAntiCovid”, it now has 6 million downloads, a gain of over 3 million new users in just one week.

New features

However, this reissue is only an update of StopCovid. The app allows the user to be alerted if he has encountered a person who tested positive for Covid-19.

But since the only tracking feature, based on the exchange of anonymous identifiers via Bluetooth technology, was not enough to generate enough downloads, the government set out to add several editorial and editorial content improvements.

Some new features have been added, such as monitoring the epidemic figures or a direct link to access the travel certificate form.

This new craze for the government tracking application should however be put into perspective compared to our European neighbors.

By way of comparison, British and German applications, cited as examples by the French government, have been downloaded 15 to 20 million times respectively.
