Today (30th) is the last Friday of October.

As the days get colder and tomorrow is Halloween, the day when many people gather, the quarantine authorities are tense.

Let’s connect reporters out in Itaewon, Seoul and see what the atmosphere is like.

Reporter Kim Sang-min, it’s a Friday night before Halloween. You can see quite a lot of people behind reporter Kim?

<Reporter>

Yes, as the days get dark, people are gathering here in Itaewon.

First of all, it seems that there is less crowd than usual until now, but there are not so many citizens wearing special makeup for Halloween on the street.

First of all, I think I will have to wait a little longer until late today and tomorrow, the day of Halloween.

Itaewon merchants who suffered a group infection from clubs and Itaewon merchants experienced a sharp decline in sales.

That's why I have to worry if there are a lot of people on this Halloween Day, and if I don't, I have no choice but to worry.

Here, the body temperature check and QR check-in, then when you pass through, you are asked to disinfect the whole body.

Seoul has a dedicated public official at about 108 clubs and gamseong bars to check compliance with the quarantine regulations at night.

If the official in charge of the quarantine officer confirms the violation of the quarantine regulations, it is required to immediately issue an order prohibiting gathering for more than two weeks.

Currently, according to what the Seoul Metropolitan Government has revealed, about half of the clubs in Seoul and about 70% of emotional pubs are going to close autonomously.

Here in Itaewon as of this afternoon, all 5 registered clubs and 22 out of 27 Gamseong pubs were closed autonomously.

I am worried that if I try to crack down on Seoul like that, people will be crowded to another place, but other regions are also preparing, right?

<Reporter>

Yes.

As clubs located in Seoul are shutting down one after another, Busan, which may be crowded, has also taken special quarantine measures.

In particular, in July, some of the U.S. soldiers had a firecracker riot in downtown Busan, but Busan is planning to check compliance with the quarantine regulations by putting manpower into Haeundae Seomyeon for two days from today.

In addition, in preparation for the possibility of US forces in Korea, the police will go on patrol with the USFK Command.
