Former President Lee Myung-bak appeared at Seoul National University Hospital in Jongno-gu, Seoul on the morning of the 30th.



The Supreme Court made his first appearance in just one day after being sentenced to 17 years in prison for bribery and other charges.




Former President Lee is reportedly receiving medical treatment at Seoul National University Hospital and prescribed long-term medications.




Former President Lee left his home in Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul in a black carnival vehicle at around 9:19 am.

The hospital was accompanied by his wife Kim Yoon-ok, and the bodyguards followed by a palisade vehicle.




Yesterday, the Supreme Court confirmed the trial court sentenced to 17 years in prison, a fine of 13 billion won, and an additional fine of 5.78 billion won in the appeal of the former President, who was charged with bribery under the Specific Crimes Weighted Penalty Act.



The prosecution decided to execute the sentence on the 2nd of next month when the former President Lee, who was the subject of the sentence, requested a delay in attendance.
