Amidst anxiety about the flu vaccine, the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Commissioner Jeong Eun-kyung received the flu vaccine today (29th).

According to the Korea Disease Service, Commissioner Chung received the flu vaccine at the Heungdeok Health Center in Cheongju City, Chungcheongbuk-do around 1 p.m. today.

An official from the Agency for Disease Control and Prevention said, "Chief Chung observed for adverse reactions at the site for 15 to 30 minutes after vaccination, and talked with a public health center official regarding safe vaccination.

Commissioner Chung, born in 1965, is not eligible for free national vaccination since he is 55 years old this year.
