The Ministry of Health reports that a campaign of massive sending of malicious emails has been detected that attempt to impersonate the identity of the Ministry of Health by duplicating the corporate image and using non-existent email domains, such as @ mscbs.gob. is.
These emails contain information related to terms such as coronavirus, COVID-19, State of Alarm and others.
Keep in mind that the Ministry of Health does not send emails from the domain @ mscbs.gob.es, so all email addresses from that domain are false: firstname.lastname@example.org, covid @ mscbs.gob.es, etc.
These emails must be eliminated and avoid downloading the attached files or following the links they may contain.
As general precautionary measures it is recommended:
Do not open emails from unknown users or who have not requested, delete them directly.
Do not reply in any case to these emails.
Caution when following links in emails even from known contacts.
Caution when downloading email attachments even if they are from known contacts.
Finally, it should be noted that emails sent from the Ministry of Health can be verified by the recipient email servers, so that most of the citizens will not have received emails that impersonate the identity of the Ministry of Health.
