court issued an arrest warrant overnight against Democratic Party lawmaker Jeong Jeong-soon, who is accused of illegal political funding and fraudulent accounting for the last general election.
It is unclear whether the prosecution will be forced to secure new recruits after 9 hours of passing the motion for arrest in the National Assembly.

Democratic Party Rep. Jeong Jeong-soon, who refused to respond to the prosecution's eight times request for attendance despite being accused of fiscal fraud and illegal political funding at the time of the general election in April, to deal with a single motion for his arrest yesterday (29th) afternoon. The Cheongju District Law issued a warrant for arrest at around 0 am today, nine hours after passing the motion for arrest.
However, it is unclear whether the prosecution will immediately seek to secure recruits as Congressman Chung announced his intention to appear on his own right after the approval of the arrest motion.
