The quarantine authorities announced today (24th) the results of a study showing that the Corona 19 antibody treatment drug being developed in Korea was effective in all six virus groups isolated from domestic patients.

Joon-wook Kwon, deputy head of the Central Defense Countermeasures Headquarters, said at a briefing today, "It has been confirmed that all six genotypes of the domestic isolates have an effect on the defense ability at the cellular level."

Corona 19 viruses are classified into several groups according to amino acid differences, among which the Corona 19 virus genotypes isolated from samples from domestic patients are S, L, V, G, GH, and GR.

However, the results of this study are not directly verified by humans, but are at the level confirmed by cell experiments.

Deputy General Manager Kwon did not disclose the name of the domestic company that developed this treatment.

Antibody therapy drugs are drugs that use antibodies that can cut off life cycles such as virus replication.

Meanwhile, Bang Dae-bon said that as of 4 p.m. yesterday, 63 hospitals had administered remdesivir, a treatment, to 671 corona19 patients.
