A new electric and compact means of transport for getting around town -

Geeko

Exit electric scooters, monoroues, overboard ... And make way for the Walkcar!

Straight from Japan, this new means of transport is compact and practical.

With a diagonal of only 13 inches - just enough to put his two feet - and a weight of only 2.9 kg, the machine developed by Cocoa Motors is easily carried in a backpack.

Its manufacturer obviously makes its transportability a selling point, the Walkcar is like "an electric car that you transport like a laptop".

The machine can indeed be transported very well under the arm or in a bag, like a somewhat thick laptop.

With its independent suspension casters, 260W motors integrated into the wheels and a lightweight main frame designed in carbon and aluminum, the Walkcar can reach a top speed of 16 km / h in sport mode.

With an average range of 7 km - in eco mode (10 km / h) - the machine is intended primarily for short distances and for use in urban areas.

Its small size and light weight really make it an ideal solution for getting around town quickly, without getting tired.

For light travelers

Unfortunately, its two main qualities lead to a big defect: the machine cannot support a load of more than 80 kg.

Delivered without handlebars or application to steer the machine, the user will have to move in a certain way on the board to steer his Walkcar, like on a Segway or a Gyroroue.

Thus, by leaning forward, the machine will start to go faster and by leaning back, it will stop.

For directions, just lean left or right.

Launched last June in Japan, the Walkcar is now ready for export.

No doubt it will soon arrive in France, but it will still cost 1,750 euros to get this new means of urban transport.
