Ms. A, a 16-month-old baby who was transferred to the emergency room on the 13th but died.

In the past three reports of suspected abuse, both the police and child protection agencies have concluded that there is no problem.

As the controversy grew after the death of Ms. A, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency formed an inspection team to investigate whether the case was properly handled.

As a result of SBS coverage, it was confirmed that the inspection team temporarily concluded that the police's handling of the case was insufficient.

'In spite of three reports of suspected child abuse, parents were passive in the separation because they were cooperative with the investigation and there was an affectionate relationship between Ms. A and her parents.'

In addition, the inspection team pointed out that while reviewing the separation measures, there were also cases where the child protection agency and the police were passing judgment on each other.

In fact, at the time of filing the third report last month, the police decided that separation measures were necessary and mobilized, but it was confirmed that the agency decided to only manage the case because parents reacted violently and no wounds were found on the child's body.
