"Do you know the murder of the Gangseo-gu PC room?" A 40-year-old sentenced to jail at the first trial for wielding a weapon by a part-time job student in a PC room was reduced at the appeal trial.

On the 23rd, the 7th Criminal Division of the Seoul High Court (Director Judge Yang Jin-soo Bae-hyeon), who was convicted of attempted murder on the 23rd, was sentenced to three years in prison after breaking the first trial of four years in prison.

The order to attach a location tracking electronic device (electronic anklet) was maintained as the first trial for 10 years.

On the morning of October 22, last year, Yoo was arrested by the police after wielding a weapon against a part-time student in a PC room in Bongcheon-dong, Gwanak-gu, Seoul.

The night before the incident, he quarreled with a part-time job student over a fee issue and went home after being arrested by the police. However, it was investigated that he went back to the PC cafe with the intention of harming the part-time job student.

In the course of the crime, Mr. Yoo was also charged with threatening a part-time job by asking, "Do you know the murder of the Gangseo-gu PC room?"

The court of appeals court lowered the sentence, saying, "The defendant has suffered from epilepsy since 10 years ago, while acknowledging Yu's crime as guilty as in the first trial."

The court also explained that "the damage was relatively light and the defendant had a smooth agreement with the victim, as the court of appeal was reached."

Meanwhile, in the Gangseo-gu PC room murder case, Kim Seong-soo (31) stabbed and killed a part-time student dozens of times with a weapon in a PC room in Gangseo-gu, Seoul on October 14, 2018.

Kim was sentenced to 30 years in prison for this case.
