In Gochang, Jeollabuk-do, a 70-year-old who had been vaccinated against the flu was found dead, and health authorities are confirming a causal relationship.



According to Jeonbuk-do, etc. on the 20th, neighbors found that Mr. A (78) had died and reported to the police in a house in Sangha, Gochang-gun, around 7:35 am on the same day.



Mr. A is said to have been vaccinated against the flu at around 8:30 am the previous day at a local clinic.



The vaccine was found to be Boryeong Biopharma Boryeong flu.



Provincial health officials said, "The link between Mr. A's death and vaccination has not been clearly identified," but said it is conducting an investigation to confirm the details.



A Do official said, "It was found that the deceased had suffered from some chronic diseases, such as taking blood pressure medications during his lifetime."



He added, "We are reporting the issue to the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and checking for other vaccinations."
