At around 5:50 am today, multiple collisions occurred at the southern end of the Seohae Bridge at 275 km down the west coast expressway in Sinpyeong-myeon, Dangjin, Chungcheongnam-do.
After the first quadruple collision, the police are convinced that there have been ninth-fold collisions one after another because of a vehicle that has not seen the accident.
Several vehicles were destroyed in the accident, and 17 people were slightly injured and taken to hospital.
Police and fire departments believe the accident was caused by heavy fog.
Traffic is controlled to correct the accident, causing congestion on the way to work for nearly two hours.
