What is the new iPhone worth?

Presented by Apple, it will have the particular feature of integrating future 5G technology.

More efficient, it should not bring other technological revolutions either.

The prices do not change.

Apple is taking the 5G turn.

The apple company has just presented its first range of iPhones compatible with the new bandwidths.

Like every year, Apple presented its iPhone with great fanfare.

But, in reality, we are far from a technological revolution.

Thirteen years ago, Apple presented the very first iPhone

The iPhone 12 is a refined version of the iPhone 11. Improved camera, better screen quality, new more powerful chip… The real novelty, as we have said, is 5G.

Apple isn't the first manufacturer to release a compatible phone.

Samsung, Huawei and Google have already taken the lead earlier this year.

But the iPhone keeps its prestige.

An Orange executive recently told us that if there is one phone that will make 5G take off, it's the iPhone.

And Apple got it right.

The strategy this year, as we can see, is to encourage us to renew our telephone.

So for once the prices are not going to go up.

It remains expensive, but it does not increase, or very little.

It's not necessarily worth it to crack right now

For 800 euros you have the iPhone 12 Mini, a smaller version of the iPhone 12 but with the same features, including 5G compatibility.

Ditto for the premium model, the iPhone 12 Pro.

It costs 1,159 euros, exactly the same price as the 11 Pro last year but with 5G, more memory and an improved camera.

But it's not necessarily worth breaking right away.

5G will not be deployed in France before the end of the year.

And again, it will only be in a few districts of large cities ... To really benefit from it, it will be necessary to wait one or two years.

So if you have a recent 4G phone, you can keep it a bit longer and put some money aside while you wait for the iPhone 13.
