Democratic Party lawmaker Lee Won-taek, who was also prosecuted, was charged with a pre-election campaign by visiting a senior citizens' party in Gimje-si, Jeollabuk-do last December.



The statute of prosecution for violations of the Public Official Election Act is 6 months, but the prosecution indicted the two lawmakers yesterday, one day before the expiration of the prescription.
