In addition, according to the'social distancing' measures, it may be mandatory to wear masks in restaurants, academies, and wedding halls in the future.



If you violate the mandatory measures to wear a mask set by the government and local governments, a fine will be imposed.



However, due to the government's decision to leave a one-month transition period, the full-scale imposition of the penalty will begin on the 13th of next month.



According to the government, the infectious disease prevention law, which allowed to impose a fine for violating an administrative order requiring the wearing of a mask, will be implemented starting today.



Penalties may be imposed up to 100,000 won to the violating party and up to 3 million won to the manager and operator.



Public transportation such as buses and subways, which are used by an unspecified number of people, are highly likely to be infected with COVID-19, gatherings and demonstrations where the crowd is crowded, medical institutions with many vulnerable groups of infections, nursing facilities, and day and night protection facilities should always wear a mask.



Specifically, public transport workers and users, organizers and workers and attendees of the assembly, workers and users of medical institutions, residents of nursing homes, and those who care for them are obligated to wear masks, and fines will be imposed if they are not worn.



For other facilities or places, the application depends on the level of social distancing.

However, not everyone has to be fined for breaking the guidelines.



Excludes those under the age of 14 and those with developmental disabilities who have difficulty wearing a mask.



In addition, even when it is difficult to wear a mask, such as washing, eating, medical treatment, swimming, bathing, performing, and taking pictures, there is no penalty for fines.



Masks that are permitted to be worn are masks for health, surgery, and splash protection approved by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety as'quasi-drugs'.



Cloth masks and disposable masks that cover the mouth and nose are also acceptable.



On the other hand, mesh-type masks, valve-type masks, scarves, etc. are not recognized, and even if you wear a recognized mask, if you do not completely cover your mouth and nose, you are subject to fines.
