October 9th, today is Hangeul Day, the 574th anniversary.

Today, which reminds us of King Sejong's achievements, the statue of King Sejong in Gwanghwamun was surrounded by iron fences as rally was held throughout downtown Seoul.

The groups that had planned the rally as the police tried to block the source were instead holding press conferences or replaced by vehicle rally.

Reporter Han So-hee covered it.

Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul.

Steel fences were placed instead of the walls of police cars that surrounded the square during the last opening day rally.

The police deployed about 11,000 people in 180 units as in the opening day, but as if they were aware of the controversy over over-response, they reduced car walls and checkpoints that blocked the passage of participants.

The subway, which passed through 4 stations near Gwanghwamun during the opening day, was also operating normally today.

The police are operating shuttle buses to and from Jongno area to help citizens pass through the city center.

When the court refused to meet in the city center, the groups changed the format to press conferences, just like the first day of the foundation day.

this was alleviated compared to the opening day, passages were blocked, leading to civil discomfort.

It's uncomfortable to go back.]

[Citizen: (The police) chase me all the way, and then I see you go into the office.

Everyone else is resting, but it's difficult to work.]

Conservative groups also held rides.

Two groups, 18 vehicles, had a ride rally, but there was no major collision due to the horn sounding without getting off.

The special quarantine period, in which the Seoul Metropolitan Government banned the assembly of 10 or more people, ends the day after the consecutive holidays.
