Optimus Asset Management has raised nearly 450 billion won in funding through NH Investment & Securities, a fund seller, for over a year since last year.

Optimus faced a serious crisis when Hanwha Investment & Securities withdrew from fund sales in April of last year, but it was revived by contracting with NH Investment & Securities.

However, the prosecution secured a statement that there was a person who linked Optimus and NH Investment & Securities, which were growing insolvent.

Optimus CEO Kim Jae-hyun stated in a prosecution investigation that when he was looking for a new fund seller at the end of April of last year, a person named Jeong Mo said, "I contacted the president of NH Investment & Securities Chung Young-chae, so please wait."

A month later, after receiving a call from NH Investment & Securities, he said that the fund was set up within three days, and that he thought that Jung had linked it.

The prosecution is paying attention to the financial transactions between Optimus and Chung.

On May 13, between the end of April last year, when it was pointed out that Jung contacted NH Investment & Securities, and the end of May last year, when the actual fund sales contract was signed, a company called TrustAll, which was controlled by Optimus, reached 4.3 billion won in the account of Chung This is because I remitted 20 million won.

The prosecution is suspecting that Mr. Chung received this money in exchange for linking NH Investment & Securities.

Jeong went into hiding when the prosecution investigation began in earnest.

NH Investment & Securities President Chung Young-chae denied the suspicion in a conversation with SBS, saying, "I know Mr. Jung's name, but I have never been contacted by Optimus."
