Gmail is changing its logo.

It is no longer red and white and the envelope symbolizing the mail has disappeared, reports

The Verge

.

What's left ?

The messaging "M".

Previously red, it is now formed from the four emblematic colors of the brand.

These are the ones that can already be found on the logo of the search engine and other logos of the services of the American giant: namely blue, red, yellow and green.

This is the first big graphic evolution since the creation of the messaging service in 2004.

G Suite becomes Google Workspace

This change in visual identity is not the only upheaval at Gmail.

The name of the G Suite program platform, dedicated to businesses, has evolved into Google Workspace.

Bringing together Gmail, Meet, Calendar, Docs, Sheets or even Slides, this offer aims to compete with Microsoft and its Office suite which has chosen to strengthen the links between Word, PowerPoint and Excel, indicates

.

On this occasion, all the logos have also changed by adopting a similar visual identity.

"The G Suite suite of tools is increasingly integrated into our communication and collaboration tools, so we decided to rename it" Google Workspace "to more faithfully reflect the vision of the product," explains Google.

While Google Workspace is available with different plans, the full set of new features will only be available in the coming weeks.
