“In order to form ballistic conditions before the launch and docking of the Soyuz MS-17 manned spacecraft, the next correction of the International Space Station's orbit is scheduled for October 7,” the state corporation said.

It is specified that the engines of the Progress MS-14 transport cargo vehicle docked to the Zvezda module assembly compartment will be switched on at 11:26 Moscow time and will operate for 412.9 s.

As a result, the average height of the station's orbit should decrease by 1.3 km and amount to approximately 418.6 km above the Earth's surface.

Earlier, the Mission Control Center, before the launch of the Soyuz MS-17 manned spacecraft, made a decision to change the parameters of the planned ISS orbit correction on October 7 due to an unscheduled maneuver of space debris evasion at the end of September.
