Google announced the Pixel 5 at an online event.

The company also presented a new Chromecast with remote control.

Both devices are for sale through Google's German web store, but will not officially appear in the Netherlands.

The Pixel 5 is a new Android phone from Google with a 6-inch screen and a resolution of 2,340 by 1,080 pixels.

The screen shows images in 90 Hz, which means that the image is refreshed ninety times per second.

Google has made the Pixel 5 water resistant.

The device is also equipped with 8 GB of RAM.

There is no longer a headphone jack.

The 4,080mAh battery can be charged wirelessly.

A standard and wide angle lens are placed on the back.

The device appears in Germany on October 15 and costs 613.15 euros.

The remote control of the new Chromecast has buttons for Google Assistant and YouTube, for example, with which those services can be started immediately.
