Currently, the number of vehicles heading toward Busan at Ansong Station on the Gyeongbu Expressway has increased considerably, but there is no congestion yet.
There are also many cars near Dangjin on the West Coast Expressway.
It is expected that it will take 5 hours and 20 minutes from Seoul to Busan, 3 hours 50 minutes in Gwangju, 4 hours 20 minutes in Daegu, 3 hours in Gangneung, and 2 hours 30 minutes in Daejeon, as of 7:00 in the morning. It will take 6 hours 10 minutes from Seoul to Busan, 4 hours 40 minutes in Gwangju, and 5 hours 30 minutes in Daegu.
The Korea Expressway Corporation predicted that the Gwiseong-gil will be most blocked between 1pm and 2pm after lunch, and the Gwigyeong-gil towards Seoul between 3pm and 4pm.
The estimated traffic volume today is 5.81 million units nationwide, and the congestion is expected to be extreme during the holiday season, the largest.
The Road Corporation predicts that the congestion on Gwigyeong-gil will be resolved by 2 am tomorrow.
