The chef of a sashimi restaurant in his 20s was sentenced to 10 years in prison for assaulting a junior employee who had stayed and eaten in one house for over a month and killed him by committing abusive behavior.

Earlier this year, 28-year-old A, who was employed as a chef of a raw fish restaurant in Yongin-si, Gyeonggi-do, suggested that a junior, 21-year-old B, who worked in the same restaurant in the past, work together.

As a result, Mr. B, who came to Yongin from the province, started working at a sashimi restaurant while living in a dorm with Mr. A and others.

However, he had to suffer from A's harassment and assault, saying he could not work properly.

As a result of the assault that lasted for more than a month, Mr. B was debilitated, such as sleeping without reason or vomiting while eating.

Nevertheless, Mr. A assaulted Mr. B vomiting at 4:30 p.m. on April 13 in the hall of a sashimi by using various tools such as a fist and a drink bottle.

He continued to be assaulted and harassed until late at night, then took Mr. B to the bathroom at 11 p.m., took off his jacket, sprayed cold water, and indiscriminately assaulted him with aluminum pipes tied his hands and feet.

Mr. A hit Mr. B during the preparation time for work at 10 am on April 14, the next day. As a result, Mr. B was transferred to the hospital but died.

The police found signs of assault on the body and investigated Mr. A, but he lied, saying, "The victim fell in the bathroom about a month ago and had a head injury."

However, another colleague who lived in the house was caught telling the facts of the assault by Mr. A, saying that he would relieve the victim's resentment.

On the 25th, the Suwon District Law sentenced Mr. A to 10 years in prison.

The judge said, "Even though it was directly confirmed that the victim's health was gradually deteriorating, it did not stop the crime, but rather increased the frequency and intensity of the assault." Explained.

He continued, "The shock received by the survivors seems difficult to heal, but the defendant did not take any measures to recover the damage."
