Over a thousand people have received the flu vaccine suspected of being exposed to room temperature during distribution.

The Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said that the number of vaccinations in question was 1,362 cases in 15 regions nationwide.

Compared to the 873 cases announced yesterday (29th), 489 people increased.

Among these, the vaccines supplied by the government procured were vaccinated to 122 patients in nursing hospitals in Incheon, and it was confirmed that two people in their 80s and one in their 90s died one after another.

Health officials explained that the result of an expert advisory meeting on the cause of death was judged to be death from exacerbation of the underlying disease rather than association with influenza vaccine.

In addition, the vaccine supplied to this hospital was a separate vaccine supplied by DL Pharm, a consortium of Shinsung Pharmaceutical, and it was confirmed that the appropriate temperature was maintained throughout the vaccine distribution process.

Earlier, the health authorities were informed that Shinsung Pharmaceutical, which signed a free vaccine procurement contract on the 21st, did not comply with the refrigerated distribution principle, such as opening the refrigerator door during vaccine delivery, and temporarily suspended the national vaccination business.
