<Anchor> The

five-day mid-autumn holiday starts tomorrow (30th).

If it's normal, I'll tell you to have a fun holiday with your family after a long time, but this is not the case because of Corona 19.

Even if you feel a little uncomfortable, please refrain from going to your hometown or moving farther, and please follow the quarantine regulations during the holidays with the heart that it is for the health of your family and everyone.

In today's 8 o'clock news, let's first look at the highway situation ahead of the holiday season.

Our reporter is out at the rest area.

Reporter Kim Sang-min, It seems that this year's rest area is also very different from usual because of corona.

I am now at the Anseong Rest Area on the Gyeongbu Expressway toward Busan.

During the usual holidays, it is time to be crowded with citizens visiting their hometown, but now, as you can see, it is a bit busy.

There have been several recommendations from the government to refrain from moving.

Perhaps that is why during this holiday season, the government expects that the number of passengers on their way home to Gwigyeong will decrease by about 30% compared to last year's Chuseok.

However, there is a little tension here, as most of the people move by car than usual.

Changed Rest Measures The core of quarantine measures can be seen as two things: staying as short as possible and keeping distance. Let's take a look at how the changed quarantine measures are being applied from now on.

First of all, there are staff at the entrance to help with this listing, and as you can see here, you need to do QR check-in or check-in by phone to save time.

And if you walk a little further, there is a space where you can check for fever right now.

This space that I am now in is the original restaurant.

However, if you look around now, there is nothing. If you look here, you can see that the chairs and tables are covered with tents so that they cannot be used.

Those who come to the rest area can only package for convenience meals, and the government is advising those who have packaged them to eat in the car.

However, even if you eat it outdoors, we have installed a new screen on the outdoor table so that splashes do not splash on each other.

Citizens were somewhat unfamiliar with the changed rest area, but they were cooperating with the government's active quarantine measures.

[Shim Hye-yeon/Seoul Dongdaemun-gu: Since the corona has been around for a very long time, I don't think it's very uncomfortable because it has become commonplace.

And because there aren't many people than I thought...

Intensive measures to quarantine rest areas will be implemented for 6 days from today to the 4th of the following month, the last day of the holiday.

Currently, the congestion on the highway is getting better after it peaks between 6 and 7 pm, but road construction is expected to take about 6 hours and 10 minutes from Seoul to Busan and 5 hours and 20 minutes from Gwangju as of 8 pm.
