Google has started updating its Google Meet video calling service on iOS and Android, the company reports on its site.

With an added noise filter, background noise is removed during meetings.

The feature is available first to G Suite Enterprise and G Suite Enterprise for Education customers.

This means that not everyone with a Google Meet account can use the filter.

Google made the noise cancellation available for the web version of Meet in June.

With the filter, for example, the sound of creaking papers and clinking glasses can be removed.

Also tapping sounds on a keyboard can no longer be heard by others thanks to the function.

According to Google, the noise cancellation is turned off by default. Customers can switch it on during a call via the settings. It may take a few days for anyone with a suitable account to have the position.
