In Busan, a woman in her 40s grabbing a woman's bag and running away at night was arrested while showing a stupid appearance, waving her hand, mistaken for a police car that was approaching secretly with a warning light off.

According to the Busan Police Agency, today (28th) at around 2:50 am, a woman in her 40s was caught snatching on a road in Suyeong-gu, Busan.

Mr. B (40s), who was following the woman late at night, suddenly snatched Mr. A's handbag and ran away.

In addition to being a luxury bag, there was a laptop and cash in it, so the damage alone amounted to 8.87 million won.

The Yeonje Police Station, which received the report, urgently requested the neighboring police station to arrange mutual assistance.

At the time, the patrol car belonging to the Gwangmin District of the Southern Police Station, which was on patrol at the time, turned off the warning lights and began to intensively patrol the alleys and roadsides.

Then, on the sidewalk 500 meters away, Suspect B, carrying a bag, was spotted, and the patrol car was able to approach the immediate vicinity before the killer noticed, thanks to the warning light turned off in advance.

It is known that when the patrol car approached about 100m, Mr. B mistaken the patrol car as a taxi and waved his hand.

The police dispatched at the time said, "I thought it was a taxi and waved my hand when a vehicle approached on an empty and dark road at night." Said.

The police checked that Mr. B's bag was similar to the snatch victim's bag, and arrested him after confirming that the belongings in it matched the victim's bag.

It was only 30 minutes after the incident.

An official from the police said, "Since the 21st, we have established comprehensive security measures for the Chuseok holiday, mobilizing all available careers, and doing our best to prevent theft and snatch crimes."
