Yesterday (27th), the number of new corona19 confirmed patients increased by 50 per day, maintaining the double-digit number for the third day.

The health authorities said they would respond hardly, saying that there is a great concern about the re-proliferation of Corona 19 through the Gaecheon Day assembly, the last day of the Chuseok holiday.

Yesterday, the number of new corona19 confirmed cases increased by 50 to 23,661 on a cumulative basis.

Of these, 40 domestic outbreaks and 10 overseas inflows were tentatively counted.

Of the domestic outbreaks, 33 people came out only in the metropolitan area, including 19 in Seoul and 13 in Gyeonggi.

In the non-metropolitan area, 3 patients were confirmed in Gyeongbuk and 1 each from Busan, Ulsan, Chungbuk, and Gangwon.

The death toll was added to 5 people, and 406 people died from Corona 19.

Health authorities have assessed that the incidence of COVID-19 patients remains on a stable decline.

The average number of new cases per day during the last two weeks was 91.5, down by half compared to the previous two weeks.

However, as sporadic group infections for which the path of infection has not been identified still continues, concerns about reproliferation during the Chuseok holiday continue.

[Song Young-rae/Ministry of Health and Welfare Spokesperson: The proportion of cases investigating the path of infection is in the 20% range, and accordingly, quarantine management during the Chuseok holiday is becoming more important than anything else.]

The quarantine authorities reiterated their tough countermeasures, such as arresting and dismissing the current criminals, in the event of a scheduled Gaecheon Day assembly on the last day of the holiday.
