It is noted that on the morning of September 27 at the Cosmonaut Training Center, a ceremonial departure of the crews was held.

“A few hours later they arrived at the Baikonur cosmodrome to complete the prelaunch preparation,” the state corporation said.

The report says that the main crew includes Roscosmos cosmonauts Sergei Ryzhikov, Sergei Kud-Sverchkov and NASA astronaut Kathleen Rubins.

Earlier, Roskosmos reported that members of the Soyuz MS-16 crew, including Russian cosmonauts Anatoly Ivanishin and Ivan Wagner, as well as American astronaut Chris Cassidy, who are on the ISS, will return to Earth on October 22.
