A brother in elementary school who was seriously injured in a fire while trying to cook ramen woke up 12 days after the accident.

The 10-year-old brother is gradually improving, such as reacting to the words of the medical staff and family, but the 8-year-old brother is still in a state of not responding.

According to the police today (25th), elementary school students A (10) and B (8) brothers who were severely injured in a villa fire in Michuhol-gu, Incheon, which occurred on the 14th, are still being treated in the intensive care unit of a mother burn hospital in Seoul.

Group A, who suffered severe third-degree burns on 40% of her body, was treated for the first time after the accident, and responded by blinking their eyes when medical staff or family members called for their names.

However, Group B, who suffered a first degree burn, opened her eyes, but could not respond at all when she called her name.

At the time of the accident, not only burns, but they drink a lot of toxic gases, so they are treated with oxygen respirators.

A police official said, "It's hard to say that all of the brothers couldn't speak, so it's hard to say that they were completely conscious," he said. "It seems like he is improving."

Brother Group A was seriously injured in a fire on the 14th at around 11:10 am while trying to cook and eat ramen at a villa on the second floor in Michuhol-gu, Incheon.

In the aftermath of the re-proliferation of Corona 19, they did not go to school and were taking non-face-to-face classes while trying to settle meals with ramen in a house without their mother who went out.

Brothers and mothers in Group A are eligible for basic living, and because of their financial difficulties, it was determined that they received 1.6 million won in monthly supply and demand expenses and self-support work expenses.

After the unfortunate story of the brothers became known, inquiries about sponsorship to help them were continued throughout the country.
